Apophenia

Experience teaches us that whenever we come upon strange patterns, we must dig deeper for we are on the verge of finding a greater truth. That little edge upon which we can expand our meager understanding of this vast universe is the barrier between seeing that there is a pattern and understanding the pattern and it's cause. This same desire to dig deeper occurs even if we don't see the pattern itself but recognize that one must be present. For some of us, spurious patterns appear to appear out of nowhere all the time. Our curse - apophenia. Our cure - Jungian Synchronicity.

Convincing oneself that universe rearranges itself according to your whims forming complex, barely evident patterns that aren't there to be discovered or used, but rather observed and marveled at. They don't have an underlying principle, but rather they're an echo of everything that's going on in your psyche. It's a calming, very introspective perspective, allowing you the freedom of detaching yourself from the universe and waiting it out. The realization that time goes on regardless of what you do is a trivial, yet profound one.
